The episode benefited from focussing on Nathan’s ongoing confusion about his rebirth within Sylar’s body. At first, the soapy storyline seemed destined for disaster, but it has begun to yield some interesting drama.

When his mother brings Nathan some keepsakes from his past to help him remember his identity, Sylar’s ability to recall the history of objects leads Nathan into one of the darker corners of his forgotten past. He has a flashback of the Chapaquitic-esque death of a former girlfriend and sets out to investigate what happened.
